What You'll Do:
- Lead Major Projects: Design and manage high-profile transportation projects, including roadway design, construction, and delivery for SCDOT and other major clients
- Strategic Oversight: Serve as the lead point of contact for clients, contractors, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Team Leadership/Mentorship: Guide and mentor a growing team of engineers and designers, ensuring effective communication and strong project execution
- Participate in Business Development efforts: Contribute to proposal preparation, client relationship management, and project acquisition efforts to secure future work
What You Bring:
- 8 years of experience in transportation engineering with a strong background in Roadway design
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina
- Extensive experience managing roadway/highway projects from design through construction
- Proven expertise working with SCDOT standards
- Strong leadership and client management skills
- Business development skills strongly preferred, but not required
- Ability to navigate complex projects while maintaining focus on quality, budget, and schedule
- Excellent communication and strategic decision-making abilities
