OSAAVA Services are seeking a Senior Risk Manager to support the IRES contract based on-site at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB), Colorado Springs, CO Position Overview Join the frontlines of national defense by supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) through the IRES contract at Schriever Space Force Base. As the Senior Risk Manager, you will lead enterprise-level risk identification, analysis, and mitigation efforts across mission-critical IT and cyber systems. You will work closely with program managers, engineering leads, cybersecurity SMEs, and senior stakeholders to drive proactive risk strategies and ensure system resilience across the defense enterprise. Key Responsibilities Job Title: Senior Risk Manager Work Location(s): Shriever Space Force Base Salary Range: 150,000 - 175,000 Shift/Work Hours: Full time Minimum Basic Requirements: Secret Clearance Bachelor's degree 15+ years of experience in risk management, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role. Professional certifications are highly desirable. Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000). Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills. Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive risk-informed decision-making. Brief (5-8 bullets) Job Description: The Senior Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact MDIOC and/or IRES operations. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise risk management. Specific responsibilities include: Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework, including policies, procedures, and controls. Identify potential risks across the organization, including internal and external factors, and assess their likelihood and potential impact. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, including risk avoidance, transfer, reduction, and acceptance. Monitor the effectiveness of risk management controls and procedures, and report on risk exposures and trends to senior management. Advise senior leadership and government customers on risk exposures and strategic risk mitigation strategies. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate risk management information and build consensus on risk mitigation strategies across IRES. Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations. Prepare and present risk reports to executive leadership and government customers. Lead risk incident investigations and root cause analyses. Oversee and manage the performance of risk management staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback. Participate in program meetings to become familiar with program details, including terminology, points of view, operating constraints, issues and goals Facilitating MDIOC Joint MDA/IRES RIO, and IRES RIO meetings as part of the IRES Program Review Board (PRB) Presenting program RIO information at formal reviews Keeping the IRES Program management team informed regarding current MDA RIO policies and policy documents Why Join Us?
