OSAAVA Services are seeking a Senior Risk Manager to support the IRES contract based on-site at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB), Colorado Springs, CO

Reports To: Program Risk Director
Start Date: Immediate Position Overview Join the frontlines of national defense by supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) through the IRES contract at Schriever Space Force Base. As the Senior Risk Manager, you will lead enterprise-level risk identification, analysis, and mitigation efforts across mission-critical IT and cyber systems. You will work closely with program managers, engineering leads, cybersecurity SMEs, and senior stakeholders to drive proactive risk strategies and ensure system resilience across the defense enterprise. Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design, implementation, and oversight of a comprehensive Risk Management Program supporting mission assurance objectives.
• Identify, analyze, and prioritize programmatic, technical, and operational risks across multiple functional domains (cybersecurity, systems engineering, mission operations, etc.).
• Develop and maintain the Risk Register; track risk status, mitigation progress, and escalate high-priority risks to executive leadership.
• Facilitate risk working groups, risk boards, and integrated product team (IPT) meetings.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, engineering, logistics, and operations stakeholders to integrate Risk Management Framework (RMF) and mission assurance best practices.
• Support compliance with JSIG, NIST 800-30, 800-37, and DoD Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management (RIOM) policies.
• Develop risk metrics and dashboards for briefings to senior MDA and Space Force leadership.
• Advise program leadership on emerging risks, potential mission impacts, and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare reports and documentation in support of authorizations, program reviews, and risk audits. Required Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Risk Management, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Systems Management, etc.)
• 10+ years of experience in risk management or program management in a DoD or intelligence community environment
• Proven expertise in enterprise risk frameworks, with practical experience applying RMF, NIST, or ISO standards
• Ability to analyze complex technical environments and translate risk into business impact
• Exceptional interpersonal, briefing, and communication skills
• Experience supporting large-scale defense programs or government contracts Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in Risk Management, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
• PMP, CRISC, CISSP, or similar risk/cybersecurity certifications
• Experience supporting Missile Defense Agency (MDA) or Space Force programs
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM), Agile methodologies, and DevSecOps environments
• Prior experience with IRES contract or similar enterprise IT support contracts Why Join Us?
