About Menlo Micro Menlo Micro has reinvented a fundamental building block of electronic systems - the electronic switch. Our technology redefines the switch category, merging the advantages of electromechanical and solid-state switches into the revolutionary Ideal Switch.
Are you eager to take on a critical and impactful role alongside top talent at an innovative startup backed by industry leaders? Do you aspire to contribute to unique and disruptive products that will revolutionize markets? If so, this could be your chance to make a significant impact in a pioneering startup with cutting-edge technology that is set to drive innovation across a vast array of industries.
Role Summary and Purpose As a Senior RF Systems Engineer, you will spearhead the design of RF Systems in Packages (SiPs) as part of our New Product Introduction (NPI) Design Team. You will play a vital role in developing advanced RF products that span a broad frequency range (DC to 60GHz and beyond) and handle a wide array of power levels. Collaborating closely with design, packaging, test, product, application, and integration engineers, you will leverage our unique MEMS switch technology to create outstanding power and RF products. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the technical feasibility of all design and qualification requirements, including characterization and reliability testing, while actively contributing to the smooth transition of Menlo Micro products to production.
You will report directly to the Director of RF Design and Product Development, functioning as a core member of the NPI team and interacting across all company divisions. Your work will directly shape critical roadmaps and drive new product developments. You will engage in comprehensive design, characterization, packaging, RF, electrical, mechanical, and test considerations, paired with data analysis, reliability testing, and problem-solving to validate and launch your designs into production.
Key Responsibilities - Design RF switch solutions and related circuits for various high-performance applications.
- Conduct laboratory testing and characterization of highly integrated RF systems in packages.
- Tackle design responsibilities hands-on, driving specification development, device architecture, test requirements, trade-off assessments, and layout to meet product goals.
- Deliver detailed design reviews addressing all facets of architecture, schematic, packaging, electromagnetic (EM) simulations, and thermal management.
- Collaborate closely with the test development team to ensure thorough verification, characterization, qualification, and production test capabilities.
- Lead verification and qualification testing to affirm compliance with specifications.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, using your problem-solving, data analysis, and critical thinking prowess.
- Contribute valuable feedback for next-generation product roadmaps, specifications, and development processes.
Qualifications and Requirements - A Bachelor's or higher degree in electrical engineering.
- A strong grasp of EM theory, RF design, and layout.
- Extensive product development experience from design through manufacturing and deployment.
