Job Details

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, particularly in the SaaS industry, and will be adept at managing complex financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and collection of invoices.
Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and budgeting processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives.
Conduct variance analysis and prepare reports to explain discrepancies between actual and budgeted results.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with the preparation of tax returns.
Support the annual audit process by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting and financial reporting.
Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on SaaS companies preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial regulations, and accounting software (experience with specific software, e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc. is a plus).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
