Collaborate with a group of highly respected market experts to contribute to delivering industry-leading market insights through collaboration within the Market Intelligence team as well as the larger Power & Renewables team. Provide insights and risks associated with longer-term congestion patterns, transmission upgrades, and outages using data and expertise from multiple ISOs / regional teams. Manipulate large datasets and determine correlations and relationships between potential market drivers, prices, and events. Drive commercial activity growth through providing product demos and developing material for new product releases. Aid the commercial activities of the product, working directly with the sales and marketing team to drive revenue growth. Review department processes and determine meaningful opportunities for the Market Intelligence team within the goals and objectives of the organization. Contribute to strategy and goal development for Market Intelligence team in coordination with department head and regional director. Ensure high-quality delivery of non-daily operational tasks such as Marketing Insights or Consulting Projects. Develop, prepare, and present at company briefings or to the larger Power & Renewables group as necessary. Prioritize product enhancements, including coordination with Research Managers and the larger Power & Renewables team, to create consistent product offerings across all regions. Provide technical and operational assistance for the Market Intelligence team including troubleshooting bugs in code or workbooks, shadowing morning processes, identifying training efficiencies to maintain and improving daily operations. Identify and build team efficiencies across multiple ISOs and team structures to support department goals. Telecommuting permitted up to 40%. Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or an Energy-related discipline and 3 years of related work experience. Of the required experience, must also have 2 years of experience in the following: Assessing short-term North American electricity markets including supply/demand economics, generation, and transmission reliability; Utilizing Power World Simulator to perform power flow analysis and conduct topology impact studies; and Utilizing programming languages such as Python, R, Visual Basic, or similar.
