Overview: Join SimVentions, a team consistently recognized as a top workplace, as a Senior Red Team Penetration Tester. In this role, you will lead and execute advanced penetration testing and offensive cybersecurity operations for U.S. Government and DoD systems. Collaborate with Blue Team and Cybersecurity professionals to enhance cyber defense strategies.

This position is contingent upon award of contract, anticipated in December of 2025.

Clearance: An ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI eligible clearance (IT Level I Tier 5/Special-Sensitive Position) is required for this position. Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements:
  • Deep knowledge of computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
  • Exceptional communication skills for clear and concise written and oral presentations.
  • Must hold one or more of the following DoD 8570.01-M CSSP Auditor certifications: CEH, CySA+, CISA, GSNA, CFR, PenTest+.
  • Must have the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification.
  • Must possess one or more of the following certifications: OSCE, OSEE, OSWP.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, modify, and utilize offensive security tools like Metasploit, NMAP, Kali Linux, and Cobalt Strike.
  • Mimic threat actor behavior utilizing TTPs aligned with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Conduct assessments across various operating systems including Linux, Windows, and macOS.
  • Engage in exploit development and discover zero-day or previously unknown vulnerabilities.
  • Analyze and address gaps in offensive tools and development techniques.
  • Perform development in at least two scripting or programming languages (Python, C , Java, Rust, Assembly, C , etc.) to support exploit development.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Ten (10) years of full-time experience in penetration testing and/or offensive cybersecurity operations, with demonstrated expertise in:
    • Creating and utilizing penetration tools such as Metasploit, NMAP, Kali Linux, Cobalt Strike.
    • Mimicking threat behavior and conducting adversary emulations.
    • Working with diverse operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS).
    • Active Directory environments.
    • Exploit development.
    • Identifying gaps in tools and development methodologies.
    • At least two of the following programming languages: Python, C , Java, Rust, Assembly, C .
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
