Overview:
SimVentions is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our dynamic team. As a
Senior Red Team Penetration Tester, you will play a crucial role in performing advanced penetration testing and executing offensive cybersecurity operations for U.S. Government and DoD systems. Collaborate with top-tier Blue Team and Cybersecurity professionals to significantly enhance cyber security posture.
Note: This position is contingent upon the award of the contract, expected in December 2025.
Clearance: An ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI Eligible Clearance is required. Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
Requirements: - Deep knowledge of computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- One or more of the following DoD 8570.01-M CSSP Auditor certifications:
- CEH
- CySA+
- CISA
- GSNA
- CFR
- PenTest+
Responsibilities: - Develop, customize, and utilize offensive security tools like Metasploit, NMAP, Kali Linux, Cobalt Strike.
- Mimic threat actor behavior using TTPs based on frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
- Conduct assessments across various operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and macOS.
- Perform exploit development and identify zero-day or previously undiscovered vulnerabilities.
- Analyze and address gaps in offensive tools and development techniques.
- Conduct development using at least two programming or scripting languages (Python, C , Java, Rust, Assembly, C , etc.) for exploit creation.
Preferred Skills and Experience: At least seven years of professional experience in penetration testing or offensive Cyber operations in areas including:
- Utilizing penetration tools like Metasploit, NMAP, Kali Linux, Cobalt Strike.
- Mimicking adversary behavior and threat emulation.
- Working with various operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS).
- Using Active Directory.
- Performing exploit development.
- Identifying gaps in tools and techniques.
- Programming or scripting in at least two languages (Python, C , Java, Rust, Assembly, C , etc.).
Certifications such as the following are a plus:
- Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
- Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE)
- Offensive Security Exploitation Expert (OSEE)
- Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP)
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
Compensation: Compensation at SimVentions is determined by various factors, including experience, education, certifications, skills, and contractual specifics. The projected annual salary for this role ranges from $90,000 to $150,000.
