Senior Q.S Key Essentials:
As a Senior Q.S, reporting to the Commercial Director, you will have responsibility of utility capital work projects under NEC form of contract to a value of circa. £25M per annum
Assuming line management for the wider commercial team to ensure effective commercial management of the contract
Reviewing CVR's and margin analysis for projects for financial reporting
Ensuring that commercial and administrative systems, budgets and cost control procedures are utilised
Produce cash-flow forecasts and keep updated and report on variances
Ensuring that contractual procedures are applied for, maintaining compliance with the company policies and procedures
Reviewing project applications and forecasts on a regular basis with regard to monitoring actual performance against budget; providing updates and action plans
Regularly review the supply chain; ensuring best value, including negotiation and award of subcontracts
Ensure business targets and KPI's are exceeded and that problems are identified and resolved at an early stage
Ensuring that accurate commercial records are kept
Senior Q.S Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Senior Q.S on Civil Engineering or Utility Capital Works
Excellent commercial awareness with clearly demonstrable experience at Senior Q.S level
Good knowledge of NEC forms of contract
