Description
The Senior Quality Engineer, Aerospace Manufacturing will:
- Develop and implement quality procedures, work instructions, and process controls
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and operations teams to resolve quality issues
- Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective/preventive action initiatives
- Support customer and supplier quality interactions, addressing complaints and concerns
- Oversee inspections, audits, and compliance with AS9100, ISO9001, and other industry standards
- Train and support quality technicians and inspectors in best practices
- Assist in developing PFMEAs, control plans, and process documentation
- Manage nonconformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions (CAPAs)
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of quality measurement equipment
- Support prototype and development projects with quality input
- Maintain and improve risk management processes for product and process quality

Profile
- 5+ years of experience managing AS9100, ISO9001, or equivalent quality systems in manufacturing
- Strong background in quality engineering, including problem-solving methodologies (PDCA, DMAIC)
- Experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and quality documentation
- Proficiency in nonconformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as heat treating, welding, and machining
- Ability to lead internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory compliance
- Experience with quality management software and statistical process control (SPC) tools
- Strong communication skills for customer and supplier interactions
- Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Ability to train inspectors and quality technicians in quality standards and procedures
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to support customers and suppliers
