Description

The Senior Quality Engineer, Aerospace Manufacturing will:


  • Develop and implement quality procedures, work instructions, and process controls
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and operations teams to resolve quality issues
  • Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective/preventive action initiatives
  • Support customer and supplier quality interactions, addressing complaints and concerns
  • Oversee inspections, audits, and compliance with AS9100, ISO9001, and other industry standards
  • Train and support quality technicians and inspectors in best practices
  • Assist in developing PFMEAs, control plans, and process documentation
  • Manage nonconformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions (CAPAs)
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of quality measurement equipment
  • Support prototype and development projects with quality input
  • Maintain and improve risk management processes for product and process quality

Profile


  • 5+ years of experience managing AS9100, ISO9001, or equivalent quality systems in manufacturing
  • Strong background in quality engineering, including problem-solving methodologies (PDCA, DMAIC)
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and quality documentation
  • Proficiency in nonconformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as heat treating, welding, and machining
  • Ability to lead internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with quality management software and statistical process control (SPC) tools
  • Strong communication skills for customer and supplier interactions
  • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
  • Ability to train inspectors and quality technicians in quality standards and procedures
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to support customers and suppliers
  • Local to Danvers, MA
