Responsibilities

The Sr. Manager Quality Assurance will oversee and ensure compliance with all food safety protocols and regulations. This role is integral to our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality products to our customers. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in food safety, strong organizational skills, and a hands-on approach to managing compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology preferred, or equivalent experience.


• Strong grasp of FDA 21CFR111, 21CFR117 implementation and compliance


• Possess ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities.


• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information as well as high level of accuracy with information.


• Ability to commit to a full time weekly schedule (40 hours a week).


Minimum 5 years of experience in food safety or quality assurance within a food manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions




• Serve as the point of contact for audits and inspections, ensuring timely response to new or changes in regulations on specifications, procedures, quality, and implications.


• Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of food safety measures into daily operations.


• Train and educate employees on food safety protocols and best practices to foster a culture of safety and quality.


• Lead investigations into quality issues across production (allergen risk management, equipment risk management, material or packaging nonconformance).


• Facilitate and/or direct resolution to issues as it relates to food safety and quality.


• Oversee product testing and release process, implement a proactive problem solving approach to any potential out of spec situations.


• Collaborate with Leadership team to establish a team that promotes customer satisfaction and positively impacts financial performance


• Champions Food Safety Programs - HACCP, NSF, FDA, and CFR Title 21 Sec 111, FSMA, FSVP


• Increase productivity and quality while lowering costs


• Improve processes through the application of quality tools and systems


• Increase customer satisfaction with steady, consistent, and quality output
