CBNA, a Bouygues Construction Company, is looking for a Senior QA/QC Engineer with Civil Works experience to join the Potomac River Tunnel Project in Washington, DC. You will be supporting the Design-Builder's QAQC Manager in the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of the Design-Builder's Quality Management System (QMS) to the Contract requirements.

The Potomac River Tunnel project is a landmark initiative under the Clean Rivers Project. The project aims to construct a nearly 5.5 miles tunnel beneath the Potomac River with 2 different TBM, serving as a critical infrastructure element to control combined sewer overflows. This will significantly enhance the water quality of the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers and Rock Creek while bolstering the sewer system's capacity.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review all submittals on behalf of the QAQC Manager to ensure they adequately address project requirements and expectations and provide feedback to submittal originators to address issues and improve future submittals.

- Assist in preparing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) plans, procedures, guides, tools, and training materials.

- Assist in communicating and training project staff, subcontractors, and suppliers on the quality policy and QMS requirements, and help promote quality awareness and culture in the project team.

- Manage the surveillance program to check compliance with QMS requirements, preparing checklists, performing surveillance audits, and ensuring improvement actions are properly developed, implemented, and completed.

- Assist when needed the QC Manager to prepare quality control (QC) plans, arrange QC tests, perform or arrange QC inspections, and ensure QC results are properly documented and their status tracked.

- Assist in preparing quality record submittals.

- Assist in performing data analysis, developing key performance indicators to characterize quality performance, monitor and report quality performance, identify adverse trends and non-conformance, support development of improvement or corrective actions, perform or facilitate root cause analysis to develop preventive actions, and monitor timely completion of these actions.

- Represent quality in internal meetings and with Suppliers, Subcontractors, and with the Client, and as requested prepare agenda, inputs, and minutes of meeting.

- Support the return of experience program, lesson learned reviews, and improvement initiatives as requested


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Tertiary education in engineering or construction management related field

- Minimum ten years' experience in civil works construction in QAQC related role

- Systems/process oriented, detailed minded, analytical, and logical approach

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Digitally literate with strong skills in software commonly used in construction - Possesses integrity, courage, adaptability, initiative
