Job Summary

W e are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) and Testing Specialist to manage and support monthly patch testing related to Infrastructure, RDBMS, Application systems, and other technical systems. This role will require collaboration across multiple teams to manage patching processes, support infrastructure-related projects, and develop application testing strategies. The ideal candidate will lead and coordinate quality assurance activities while creating test plans, test scripts, and managing defect lifecycle. A strong focus on automation, manual testing, and project management will be essential.

Job Description
  • Coordinate and manage monthly patching efforts across various systems.
  • Analyze technical requirements, designs, and processes to define the scope of automated testing.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to testing procedures and quality standards.
  • Develop and communicate test strategies and plans to relevant stakeholders.
  • Create and modify test scenarios and scripts to validate system requirements.
  • Conduct both manual and automated system, regression, and functional testing.
  • Review and ensure proper execution of test scripts.
  • Track and manage defects throughout the defect lifecycle, ensuring resolution.
  • Create progress reports, dashboards, and coverage metrics using test management tools such as QTest.
  • Promote and enforce quality testing practices across teams.
  • Collaborate with management and other disciplines to ensure testing objectives are met and address any project deviations.
  • Assist with test data requests and ensure testing is aligned with operational acceptance criteria.
  • Report on testing activities and automated/manual testing progress, identifying deviations and taking corrective action.
  • Participate in product design reviews, providing input on functional requirements and potential issues.
  • Develop automation scripts as required by projects.
Job Skills Required
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure systems.
  • Knowledge of automation and API testing with tools such as Selenium, TOSCA, Ansible.
  • Familiarity with QTest and JIRA.
  • Proficient in creating and managing test automation scripts using tools like Tosca.
  • Solid experience with Oracle RDBMS, including competency with PL/SQL and relational database design and SQL tuning.
  • Familiarity with software Quality Assurance (QA) practices, including testing techniques, standards, and technologies.
  • Experience with mobile testing using Tosca and Sauce Labs for iOS and Android apps.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in meetings, addressing crucial issues and providing status updates.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining performance and quality, especially in stressful situations.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience (8+ years).
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in running automation scripts using Tosca Test Suite.
  • Experience creating and running automation frameworks using Tosca Model-Based Framework and Tosca API scan for testing Rest and SOAP APIs.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in system and application testing.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing and coordinating testing activities.
  • 2+ years of experience with QTest for test management.
Additional Requirements
  • Proven ability to create test plans, test scripts, and comprehensive test reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of PL/SQL for data validation and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with common business applications such as MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access).
  • Familiarity with web services and technologies such as HTML5, CSS, and JQuery.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with GUI object recognition and customization.
  • Experience working in UNIX and Windows environments.
  • Proven ability to work well with a team and independently in a dynamic, business-focused environment.
