Job Summary: Our technology team is seeking add a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to our Team. Candidates for this role must be QA engineers with experience creating and executing test plans for iOS, Android, Web and API applications. As part of our technology team, QA Engineers are responsible for ensuring the software and platforms we develop deliver exceptional user experience to our team members, customers and pets. QA Engineers are part of our product delivery team and are responsible for testing reactive web applications, mobile applications and services for customers and team members. Senior QA Engineers work with product management on product requirements and roadmaps to develop test cases, test strategies and test data used by the rest of our QA team. They participate in sprint planning and daily standups to prioritize development work to meet our quality and deliverable timelines. Senior QA Engineers will also perform manual and automated testing. QA Engineers must be located in and authorized to work in the US. We will not provide Visa sponsorship. They must be able to work during regular US business hours. They must attend remote daily standups as well as numerous other remote meetings during the week with team members and business partners.

We are looking to add a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to our team.

LOCATION: Remote

REPORTS TO: Director of Applications

PAY: $90,000 - $115,000 dependent on experience

CORE RESPONSIBILITES:

Develop and execute test cases for mobile and web applications

Test APIs using Postman

Develop test strategies to assure comprehensive quality review of our development and platform deliverables on a regular basis

Participate in daily standups and sprint planning to facilitate developer priorities and answer questions about defects identified in testing

Record detailed test scenarios, data and application context to reproduce errors so that engineers can efficiently reproduce and diagnose issues for resolution.

Respond to customer-initiated issues to reproduce errors and facilitate resolution between developers and customers.

Participate in UX design and product designs meetings to understand product expectations and assure that testing strategies are in place to meet those expectations

Work in an agile development environment, maintaining user story and task status, t-shirt sizing

Strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development.

Document test cases and testing strategies in tools such as Azure DevOps and Confluence.

Communicate on all open projects and give updates to both team members and Technology team staff.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience:

5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance Engineering role

3 years of experience testing web applications developed with Vue.js or React.js

3 years of experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android

Experience developing test plans and test cases

Experience curating test data sets

Skills:

Experience developing automated test plans

Experience testing web-based APIs

Experience testing i18n localization applications

UX style guide experience for Android and iOS

Extra credit for veterinary practice management software, such as Cornerstone, AviMark or Datapoint

Other:

Travel is not required

Learn quickly, self-starter, take direction well

Exceptional troubleshooting skills, detail orientated

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Must be able to work in front of a computer for long periods of time

Remote engineers must be able to work during regular US business hours; and must be able to regularly participate on calls via Teams or available to other team members via Teams.
