Project Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Onshore Test Lead to drive automation testing efforts for a high-performance, consumer-facing connectivity platform. This role is hands-on, with responsibility for test planning, automation scripting, execution, and mentoring a team of testers. The successful candidate will bring solid expertise in Selenium-based UI automation, API testing, and agile QA practices, and will work closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure the highest software quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day QA/test activities for automation projects across UI and backend services.
Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium WebDriver and API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
Set up and manage test environments including Wi-Fi test beds, automation infrastructure, and network emulators.
Define test strategies, automation frameworks, and execution plans aligned with project goals.

Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements, define test scenarios, and ensure early validation.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure consistent regression coverage.
Review test scripts, ensure coding best practices, and mentor junior testers in automation.
Track test progress, manage defects, and report quality metrics to stakeholders.
Ensure test coverage for edge cases, performance, and system integration points.
Frequent travel may be required.
Mandatory Skills Description:
5+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, Java/Python, and API test tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
Experience in creating automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing ones.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), version control (Git), and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Must be available to work full-time onsite in Houston, TX.
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
Experience in testing Wifi systems and any experience in Airline domain is a plus.
Exposure to cloud testing environments (AWS, Azure) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
