Project Description:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Onshore Test Lead to drive automation testing efforts for a high-performance, consumer-facing connectivity platform. This role is hands-on, with responsibility for test planning, automation scripting, execution, and mentoring a team of testers. The successful candidate will bring solid expertise in Selenium-based UI automation, API testing, and agile QA practices, and will work closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure the highest software quality standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day QA/test activities for automation projects across UI and backend services.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium WebDriver and API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
  • Set up and manage test environments including Wi-Fi test beds, automation infrastructure, and network emulators.
  • Define test strategies, automation frameworks, and execution plans aligned with project goals.

  • Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements, define test scenarios, and ensure early validation.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure consistent regression coverage.
  • Review test scripts, ensure coding best practices, and mentor junior testers in automation.
  • Track test progress, manage defects, and report quality metrics to stakeholders.
  • Ensure test coverage for edge cases, performance, and system integration points.
  • Frequent travel may be required.
Mandatory Skills Description:
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
  • Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, Java/Python, and API test tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
  • Experience in creating automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing ones.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), version control (Git), and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Must be available to work full-time onsite in Houston, TX.
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
  • Experience in testing Wifi systems and any experience in Airline domain is a plus.
  • Exposure to cloud testing environments (AWS, Azure) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
