Sr. Protection & Control Engineer
Job Location: Tulsa, OK (On-site required, open to relocating candidates)
Job Salary: $90-128k + substantial benefits package
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Protection & Control Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing protection and control systems for electrical substations and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role involves working closely with other engineering teams to develop reliable and efficient solutions for power system protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement protection and control systems for electrical substations.
- Develop relay settings and schemes to ensure system reliability and compliance with IEEE standards and NERC regulations.
- Conduct circuit analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues in power systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate testing and commissioning of new systems.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports related to protection and control systems.
- Implement and maintain SCADA systems and communication protocols for remote monitoring and control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in protection and control engineering.
- Strong knowledge of control systems, power systems, and relay settings.
- Experience in substation design and compliance with IEEE and NERC standards.
- Proficiency in automation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Familiarity with scheme design and SCADA systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
