We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our high-performing team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate properties. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate accounting, with a focus on shopping centers. Proficiency in Yardi is required. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and contribute significantly to our company's success.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Property Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

1. Overseeing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties, with a focus on shopping centers.
2. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
3. Coordinating with property managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting of property financials.
4. Conducting regular audits to verify the accuracy of financial information and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
5. Managing the budgeting and forecasting process for assigned properties.
6. Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
7. Using Yardi or similar property management software to streamline and automate accounting processes.
8. Collaborating with other team members to identify and implement process improvements.
9. Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting, with a focus on shopping centers.
2. Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software.
3. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is a plus.
4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
7. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate and address issues before they escalate.
8. A commitment to continuous learning and development, with a willingness to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
