Job Description ECS is seeking a Senior Project/Program Manager to work in the Washington, DC area and lead various Department of Homeland Security projects to success across our diverse portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery including: executive reporting, project planning, hiring, strategic growth initiatives, and execution. You'll be expected to develop creative solutions, manage change effectively, and oversee release management to ensure timely and successful project outcomes. Effective communication, technical writing, and presentation skills are essential, as you will need to convey complex information clearly and concisely. Responsibilities will include: Managing contracts and ensuring compliance with governance policies Providing briefings to Federal Leadership on strategic initiatives Managing finances and burn rates for the team and augmenting staff as needed Overseeing the software engineering lifecycle (SELC) from design to deployment Engaging with stakeholders to understand their needs and work with the team to tailor solutions Using Agile methodologies to optimize project workflows and enhance team productivity Fostering a collaborative team environment, facilitating cross-functional initiatives, and building strong relationships with federal stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives Supporting growth opportunities across the business unit as needed and marketing the solutions and accomplishments of the team Recommended Technical Skills Utilizes intermediate technical expertise to advise on technology solutions and connect business needs with appropriate technologies. Provides input on resource planning and removes obstacles to project progress. Hands-on experience in one cloud area, from design to operations, and another in cloud workload, which is used to guide program governance and oversee execution. Draws on experience managing multi-stream technology projects from design to production to anticipate potential changes affecting key projects. Recommended Functional Skills Builds foundational relationships with key customer stakeholders, including IT Directors, Security Leaders, and technical professionals. Gathers information on the business and information technology objectives from customer organizations, identifies customer needs, and creates a shared plan to supports outcomes that are specific to the customer to meet priorities and drive cloud adoption. Identifies and anticipates customer needs during support and engagement activities, creating shared plans that focus on specific business outcomes and industry standards. Works to expand customer and partner relationships beyond current support contracts, fostering long-term growth and technology adoption while bridging gaps between siloed teams. Desire to grow career and increase responsibility in your role Required Skills A Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Sociology, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility 10+ years of experience in customer success, solution delivery, project/program management, and customer-facing consulting Experience managing technology projects/programs with AWS Cloud products or other cloud technologies such as Azure Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation certification or equivalent service management certification Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent Project Management certification Desired Skills Five or more years experience supporting US Government customers Certification in relevant cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Microsoft 365, or equivalent Knowledge of government security requirements (ATO, ATP, ATC) ECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis any characteristic protected by law.
