Senior Project Manager - Ground-Up Commercial Construction
Location: Washington, D.C. Metro

A leading general contractor in the D.C. Metro area is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead ground-up commercial construction projects. This is a great opportunity to join a reputable firm with a strong pipeline of diverse projects and a commitment to quality and innovation.



Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all phases of ground-up commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and contracts while maintaining client relationships.
  • Lead and coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project performance, including cost control, quality assurance, and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Work closely with owners, architects, and engineers to address design and construction challenges proactively.
  • Manage and mentor project managers, engineers, and other team members, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software to track progress and documentation.


Qualifications:


  • 10 years of experience in ground-up commercial construction, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Experience managing office, mixed-use, retail, hospitality, or institutional projects is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, contract negotiations, and scheduling.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
