This role offers a unique opportunity to lead major façade restoration projects across NYC - with a focus on Local Law 11 compliance - while managing key client relationships and contributing to the strategic direction of the firm.
You'll be a client-facing leader, overseeing technical execution, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams, contractors, and ownership groups. The ideal candidate is a licensed Architect or PE (or working toward it), with experience delivering complex exterior restoration projects in New York City.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as Project Lead on multiple façade restoration projects across NYC, from investigation and design through construction administration
Ensure compliance with NYC Local Law 11 (FISP) and other applicable codes and standards
Manage and expand long-term relationships with clients, contractors, and agency partners
Coordinate internal project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure project success
Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and bid documents
Attend site inspections, pre-bid meetings, and on-site field observations
Support internal resource planning and mentor junior engineers and architects
Contribute to the growth of the firm's footprint with institutional and public-sector clients
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Registered Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE) in New York State preferred
Minimum 4 years of experience specifically in façade restoration projects
Ideal candidates will have experience working directly with DASNY and/or NYCHA projects
Strong knowledge of Local Law 11 (FISP), NYC construction practices, and exterior building systems
Proven experience managing client and contractor relationships
Strong communication, leadership, and team coordination skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, inspection software, and report preparation
