Atlanta Beltline, Inc. is the official implementation agency for the Atlanta Beltline, the 22-mile rail-to-trail conversion that's one of the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment programs in the United States. Its vision is to be the catalyst for making Atlanta a global beacon for equitable, inclusive and sustainable city life. The Atlanta Beltline is building a more socially and economically resilient Atlanta with our partner organizations and host communities through job creation, inclusive transportation systems, affordable housing and public spaces for all.
The Senior Project Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Economic Development. The role will work cross-functionally with ABI departments, external partners, and the Beltline Marketing & Communications team to ensure a unified voice and consistent brand presence across all platforms and initiatives. This role will also play a critical part in elevating the visibility of local businesses and ensuring Beltline entrepreneurs, especially small, minority-owned, and underrepresented companies, benefit from national and global attention.
Key Responsibilities:
Economic Development Marketing
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan for Economic Development programming in collaboration with ABI's Marketing & Communication team.
- Establish a year-round calendar of business activities, activations, or campaigns that align with national opportunities such as Small Business Month, Small Business Saturday, etc., to position Beltline-supported businesses as vital contributors to the city's economic landscape.
- Proactively partner with local Beltline businesses to promote new location openings, founders' stories, and successes.
- Collaborate with Beltline-adjacent Business Associations and Community Improvement Districts (CIDs) to foster cohesion and share best practices, ensuring the Beltline's economic development ecosystem thrives.
- Promote business programs through storytelling, vendor features, public events, and activations.
Business & Investment Attraction
- Highlight the Beltline's mix of infrastructure (trails, parks, housing) and cultural vibrancy to position it as a prime business destination and investment hub within Atlanta.
- Support the Economic Development team in drafting and developing pitch decks, compelling content, and messaging for presentations at national conferences and other public events.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Development
- Support and advance ABI's efforts to develop alternative revenue streams with corporate stakeholders by leveraging ABI's brand and licensing assets.
- Assist external consulting partners who are currently prospecting for new partnerships for potential Beltline brand alignment.
- Manage existing and cultivate new relationships for licenses or co-branding opportunities that support small business growth and visibility.
- Interface with vendors, creative agencies, event partners, and public/private collaborators to produce high-quality content and campaigns.
FIFA World Cup 2026 Small Business Engagement
- Serve as ABI's economic development marketing lead for the FIFA World Cup, ensuring Beltline businesses are integrated into tourism, events, and sponsorship opportunities.
- Collaborate with citywide partners to develop campaigns and activations highlighting Beltline businesses during the event and beyond.
Internal Collaboration & Liaison
- Act as the key Economic Development liaison to the Communications team, ensuring messaging consistency, media coordination, and alignment with ABI's brand voice and editorial strategy.
- Work with ABI's Communications team to amplify economic impact messaging and manage public announcements, press releases, social media integration, and outreach.
- Track performance metrics and analytics, adjusting campaigns for impact and reach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 12-15 years of marketing or branding experience, including senior-level or strategic project management roles.
- Proven experience in both public and private sector environments.
- Firm grasp of place-based marketing, community storytelling, and inclusive brand development.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and departments, especially in a matrixed organization.
- Experience with major event marketing or economic development programs is preferred.
