About the Senior Project Accountant Role:

As a Senior Project Accountant, you will be integral to the firm's project teams, ensuring financial accuracy and supporting the completion of high-value projects. This Senior Project Accountant role offers significant responsibility and visibility within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Senior Project Accountant key responsibilities include:

  • Financial Reporting: Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of project and management reporting data to help drive decision-making.
  • Budget Management: Prepare, review, and maintain initial budgets and project plans, supporting fee forecasting and comparisons between budget and actuals.
  • Project Setup: Set up new projects in the ERP system, review contracts and proposals, and ensure financial processes are in place from the outset.
  • Invoicing & Accounts Receivable: Assist in the creation of monthly invoices to clients, oversee consultant invoice reviews, and support accounts receivable efforts, including cash application and collections.
  • Revenue Recognition: Handle quarterly and annual closings, ensuring timely and compliant revenue recognition in line with accounting standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Experience in professional services, especially in Architecture or Engineering, is a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with various ERP systems.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision is a significant advantage.
  • High attention to detail, self-sufficiency, and excellent communication skills.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience
