Job Details:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our progressive team. This role is pivotal in driving and managing the technical aspects of our manufacturing processes and will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and exciting projects. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in lean manufacturing, rubber manufacturing, and engineering plastics. They will also need to be proficient in CAD software, 2D AutoCAD, and SolidWorks. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing processes and work sequences to improve throughput, quality, and efficiency.
2. Developing and implementing process improvements using lean manufacturing principles.
3. Collaborating with design engineers to enhance design features and manufacturability.
4. Utilizing CAD software, 2D AutoCAD, and SolidWorks to develop and analyze manufacturing plans.
5. Conducting root cause analysis of manufacturing issues and developing corrective actions.
6. Assisting in the management of the manufacturing aspects of product development projects.
7. Working with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of new product designs and changes to existing products.
8. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
9. Providing technical support to the manufacturing team as required.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
3. Proficient in CAD software, 2D AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
4. Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
5. Extensive knowledge of rubber manufacturing and engineering plastics.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
9. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
