Reporting to the Associate Director for Resettlement, the Senior Program Officer will support the coordination efforts to ensure the successful onboarding of new affiliate staff and partners. This position will also manage aspects of grants management across all Global Refuge resettlement programming including contract and MOU management, proposal development, and financial award management. The Senior Program Officer requires attention to detail, excellent organization skills, strong verbal and written communication, and strong interpersonal skills.

DUTIES - Conduct informational sessions for organizations and groups interested in joining and supporting the Global Refuge network.
- Ensure successful onboarding and training of new resettlement partners.
- Ensure the successful management of Global Refuge resettlement programs grants.
- Manage affiliate contact information to ensure systems are being maintained up to date, at all times.
- Work cross collaboratively with the organization's key stakeholders to implement effective systems for submitting high-quality grant proposals and program administration.
- Work collaboratively with the Global Refuge Programs Administration and Finance departments to ensure timely creation of MOUs for new and existing partners throughout the year.
- Ensure the timely submission of programmatic reports required quarterly, semi-annual and annually.
- Research funding opportunities from federal agencies and other relevant funders.
- Review notice of funding opportunities (NOFOs) to assess alignment with Global Refuge's mission and programmatic focus and be proactive in the pursuit of these funding opportunities.
- Serve as project manager for proposal preparation and submission for various funding opportunities.
- Manage the external spaces on its extranet GlobalRefugeConnect and Learning Management System.
- Create, update, and disseminate programmatic materials including standard operating procedures.
- Represent Global Refuge during meetings and convenings with external stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS - Undergraduate degree in social work, social sciences, non-profit management or related field in combination with relevant experience and supervisory experience.
- Experience in a local resettlement office or a national office of a resettlement agency required; prior experience with Reception and Placement, Matching Grant and/or Preferred Communities programs strongly preferred.
- Experience working with refugees, immigrants or limited English speakers, required.
- Strong networking skills, marketing, and relationship management experience, required.
- Experience in contract and cooperative agreement compliance, developing and delivering training and providing technical assistance to service providers and staff, required.
- Ability to write and edit compelling proposals, impeccable attention to detail, and clearly interpret technical requirements.
- Ability to accept change and be flexible; focusing on action and outcomes.
- Ability to build a cohesive team.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to details.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word), knowledge in database management and other computer applications. This position will require using several web-based platforms.
