Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Senior Production Scheduler is responsible for leading production planning and scheduling; meet demands within safety, quality, budgetary, and regulatory guidelines. Participate and lead process improvements that deliver cost savings in production planning and inventory strategy: lead production planning functions to ensure inventory levels meet customer goals while minimizing cost and improving production efficiencies.
- Plan production for the bottling operations using Master Production Scheduling and Advanced Planning System
- Lead planning of intercompany transfer processes. Support continuous improvement in these areas and lead the evaluation of appropriate safety stock
- Participate in and lead process improvements that deliver cost savings in the imported goods, production planning, and materials planning areas. Lead production planning functions to ensure that the appropriate amount of inventory is held to meet customer service goals while minimizing carrying costs and improving production efficiencies
- Work with brand managers on production plans or planned finished good purchases for new products and brands
- Meet and exceed customer expectations through daily management of planning and scheduling. Ensure objectives for production output are at or above standard efficiency. Work with peers to identify "best in class" scheduling procedures that improve availability for shipments, optimal bottling crewing efficiency, and equipment up-time utilization . Assist operations to achieve desired efficiency by providing a stable production schedule
- Measure and evaluate the performance of systems, use these measurements to improve operations and continually improve quality systems by working with the various departments. Assist with identifying, streamlining, and documenting a production planning process with a focus on reducing waste and improving quality of work life
Qualifications/Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Exceptional organization, prioritization, & project management skills
- 5 years experience in manufacturing software (ERP, MRP, MPS, WMS)
PREFERRED
- APICS Certification or Six Sigma Certification
- Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
- Knowledge of import/export processes/regulations (FDA, US Customs)
