As the Senior Product Marketing Manager for Personal Investor's Self-directed Growth, you'll be the mastermind behind our core retail messaging and growth marketing strategy. You'll orchestrate dazzling paid and owned channel tactics to attract new investors while crafting unforgettable experiences that help our clients get the most out of their Vanguard relationship. You'll team up with business leaders to align marketing strategies with business outcomes, expanding Vanguard's reach and making waves in the market.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Product Marketing Strategy: Dive into target audience identification, product value proposition, and client needs analysis. Partner with senior leadership to align marketing objectives with cross-functional priorities and inform marketing budgets.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Be the marketing guru. Mentor and coach colleagues to develop and maintain a broad knowledge of product marketing industry forces, competition, and trends, acting as a trusted advisor in developing marketing strategies.
- Vision and Planning: Set the stage for competitive product marketing strategy, planning, measurement, and relationship management for products/initiatives. Ensure plans meet tactical and strategic objectives and align with overall business strategy.
- Stakeholder Communication: Keep the communication flowing. Engage with stakeholders, leaders, team members, management, and department partners to ensure requirements and priorities are understood. Monitor product marketing activity, progress, and results, submitting regular status reports to management and stakeholders. Identify necessary actions to realign with strategic outcomes as needed.
- Continuous Feedback Loop: Create a continuous feedback loop to gather input from clients and key stakeholders. Proactively identify opportunities to improve the positioning of critical business topics.
- Marketing Tracking Methodology: Lead the development of marketing tracking methodology to set success parameters based on relevant data, analytics, and measurable results. Regularly share updates on the status of product marketing strategy efforts.
- Risk Mitigation and Compliance: Ensure all steps are taken to mitigate risk and maintain control, compliance, audit, and legal requirements in marketing plans. Maintain an appropriate level of technical marketing and business knowledge to support program implementation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum eight years of related work experience, including three years in marketing.
- Broad knowledge of Vanguard's investment product lineup and an understanding of the overall investment markets.
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing or equivalent experience required; graduate degree preferred
