About the Position


Union Privilege, doing business as Union Plus, provides a wide range of programs, discounts, and services to support the nearly 15 million members of the 60+ unions that are part of the AFL-CIO labor federation. The programs are provided through partnerships with top brands in their respective industries. The mortgage and credit card programs are two flagship programs for Union Plus and have unique benefits built into the programs to support union members. Due to the importance of these programs and our ambitious growth targets, we are seeking a qualified candidate to be responsible for the day-to-day management of these programs, including relationship management, program growth, and development of the annual plan and reporting against progress. Additionally, the Senior Manager will be responsible for the strategic review and analyses of competitive product pricing and features. She/he will also serve as the liaison between Union Privilege, the program administrators, and union leaders and members for operational issues as well as be responsible for service quality, compliance issues, and reporting.

In an average week, you may:


Participate in internal and external cross team meetings to share program results and plan activities to achieve program growth goals

Collaborate with the communications, marketing, union outreach, and legal departments on the development and implementation of campaigns

Provide reporting for senior management and affiliate organizations outlining the performance of the program and/or campaigns

Work with external partners to resolve operational issues

Requirements


4-year college degree, preferably in business or finance, an MBA a plus

Minimum of 3-5 years experience in consumer product development, the enhancement of existing products, and/or the management of product operations and marketing

Thorough knowledge of the credit card and mortgage industries

Experience with affinity programs/relationships

Demonstrated ability to analyze program and/or product financials and data and recommend appropriate action

Demonstrated ability to conduct a comparative analysis of products and businesses using industry resources

Ability to analyze marketing reports and project sales

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong and productive relationships with partners

Ability to achieve program and product goals through negotiation and persuasion using industry knowledge and interpersonal skills

Experience managing complex projects

Incredible attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation and Benefits


Salary for this full-time position is competitive. Union Privilege also provides a very generous benefits package, including a pension, fully-paid health coverage, and other benefits. Union Privilege currently has a hybrid office policy with flexible work-from-home options. However, staff are expected to be available at short notice for in-person meetings at the Washington, DC Office as needed.
