Position Summary:

The Senior Product Manager will identify market problems, use-cases, and outcomes for our robotic AI technology BrainOS and associated product lines.

Brain Corp is a customer-driven company and our product managers engage directly with our customers (end-users and manufacturers) to understand problems and define opportunities. The Senior Product Manager will also partner closely with engineering, program management and other stakeholders to increase customer delight, drive sales and deliver the right business outcomes. The Senior Product Manager will work with a dedicated team of professionals in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative start-up like environment.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Roadmaps and Strategy
    • Lead Brain Corp's product vision, strategy, and customer needs for the designated product area while coordinating with other business objectives
    • Develop and manage a roadmap to increase customer satisfaction, meet key milestones and achieve business objectives
    • Influence key business objectives by driving product vision
  • Customer and Partner Engagement
    • Engage directly with our customers (adopters, end-users, and manufacturers) to gather user feedback, understand problems, and define opportunities
    • Work directly with US and international channel partner's technical and business teams to launch and support Brain Corp technology
    • Influence customer management, sales and marketing initiatives
    • Capable of demoing products and comfortable presenting to potential customers
    • Develop key communication lines with customers and partners
    • Act as liaison and main point of contact with program leadership from partner organizations for product related areas
  • Research and Discovery
    • Build quantitative and qualitative use cases to drive new products, features, and service proposals
    • Lead market analysis initiatives and build market expansion plans
    • Discover the necessary data to focus and clarify "the what and the why"
    • Define pricing and features tiers
  • Execution
    • Collaborate with and influence program management, design, engineering, sales and market-facing teams
    • Lead the direction of proof-of-concept prototypes and user tests
    • Develop, align, and meet expectations of strategic programs
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • 4-8 years of hands-on product management / product development experience
  • Prior experience building, launching and managing successful B2B products
  • Advanced knowledge of product management principles
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional areas (sales, marketing, product development, operations) is essential

Things that make a difference:
  • Experience in retail operations strategy, customer experience, retail technology, business continuity, brand governance, and continuous improvement and innovation
  • Experience with retail merchandising operations and optimization strategies including pricing and promotional, planning and execution, cost & deals, category management and competitive planning
  • Experience in omnichannel merchandising processes and systems
  • Previous responsibility for significant market share and brand growth at scale is highly desired
  • Strong technical (software AND hardware) capability
  • Understands and embraces disruption, both internally and externally
  • Startup/rapid growth-stage technology company experience is highly desirable

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Sound level may be elevated at times at customer locations.

Employees are exposed to the typical office environment with computers, printers and telephones but also expected to travel to customer locations which include retail stores and warehouses. The installation, setup and testing of our product occur during business off-hours. Therefore, when traveling to customer sites the employee can expect to work either late in the evening (9 p.m. to 2 a.m.) or early in the morning (3 to 8 a.m.).
Salary Range:

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in San Diego, California is $119,506 to $154,655. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Brain Corp is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
