Position Summary: Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of our Nylon Solutions portfolio, managing a $700M revenue stream? As a Senior Product Manager, you will be the essential link between various functions including commercial, operational, supply chain, finance, and more. Your role will encompass overseeing the entire product lifecycle, enhancing pricing strategies, leading demand planning through S&OP, and driving innovation and growth through portfolio optimization.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and change agent, collaborating closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Executive Leadership to boost business performance. This position demands a data-driven mindset, strong commercial acumen, and leadership skills to streamline processes and implement industry-leading practices, particularly in demand planning and business transformation via S4 HANA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Portfolio Strategy & Performance Management
  • Take charge of the execution of the $700M Nylon Solutions product portfolio.
  • Craft and implement product line strategies that enhance revenue, profitability, and asset returns.
  • Define and manage the product roadmap, focusing on new offerings, lifecycle optimization, and portfolio rationalization.
  • Stay responsive to market dynamics, competition, customer insights, and margin pressures with quick adaptability.
Demand Planning & S&OP Leadership
  • Lead the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts, sales strategy, production planning, and financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Supply Chain to influence demand, optimize inventory, and guarantee product availability.
  • Drive S4 HANA business transformation by designing and implementing streamlined demand planning processes.
Pricing & Commercial Excellence
  • Formulate and execute pricing strategies tailored by customer segment, channel, and application to enhance product value and margins.
  • Provide pricing direction to Sales to ensure adherence to product netbacks, customer agreements, and contract obligations.
  • Lead pricing excellence initiatives, including margin mix analysis and proactive market-driven pricing adjustments.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Marketing to align on promotional strategies and pricing models.
Market and Customer Insight
  • Conduct thorough competitive analysis, assess industry trends, and gather customer feedback to refine commercial strategies.
  • Transform customer needs into actionable solutions by partnering with R&D, Tech Service, and Marketing.
  • Own the development of value propositions and differentiation narratives for major product families.
Business Planning & Transformation
  • Contribute to the Annual Operating Plan and the Long-Term Strategic Plan regarding volume, pricing, margins, and capital allocation.
  • Incorporate market insights into forecasts and critical executive decision-making.
  • Assist in M&A diligence and integration from a product perspective when applicable.
Quality, Service, and Delivery
  • Collaborate with Operations and Quality to address customer complaints, ensure product quality, and maintain on-time delivery.
  • Represent commercial interests in cross-functional teams resolving supply, quality, or service challenges.
Leadership
  • Act as a change champion, influencing cross-functional teams to adopt new methodologies.
  • Communicate transparently and collaboratively across commercial and operational teams.
  • Cultivate a customer-centric culture emphasizing operational excellence and strategic foresight.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical or technical field (Engineering, Business, or Science); MBA is a plus.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial functions (product management, supply chain, sales, planning, operations).
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience managing large-scale product lines in chemicals, materials, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong financial skills with the ability to analyze P&L, pricing strategies, and margin components.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Proficient in SAP, BW, Power BI, and Excel, with capabilities in developing analytical tools and dashboards.
  • Experience in enterprise transformation initiatives (S4 HANA, digital demand planning tools) is highly desirable.
