We are seeking an analytical and results-oriented Senior Product Manager to join our growing team. This role will focus on delivering internal systems and tools that support mission-critical business processes - the foundation for customer success and operational excellence. As a key member of the Product team, you'll lead efforts to build new functionality, streamline internal workflows, enhance system usability, visualize the outcomes of these processes, and apply emerging technologies like AI and automation to solve complex challenges.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and brings structure to ambiguity. You'll work closely with Engineering, QA, Operations, and business stakeholders to ensure internal systems enable exceptional service delivery and scale effectively with our growth. You'll also be part of a growing product team, helping to establish processes in our team and product mindset across our organization.

This is a remote position with a preference for candidates who are within the Baltimore, MD area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a product and system expert - understanding industry/regulatory requirements, internal workflows, data dependencies, and integration needs, and how all these ultimately drive customer satisfaction.
  • Create, manage and evangelize a clear, prioritized product roadmap that aligns with business goals and stakeholder needs. Effectively communicate the vision and value across teams.
  • Gather and synthesize complex business requirements from stakeholders across departments and external partners. Translate requirements into outcomes, functional specifications, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria.
  • Measure and communicate how internal tools and workflows directly impact key operational KPIs and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Influence stakeholders across the organization to drive alignment on product priorities and outcomes, negotiating tradeoffs, MVPs and alternatives with business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate daily with engineering, and fellow product managers to deliver high-impact, high-quality, cross-team solutions. Work with QA to develop test plans and participate in acceptance testing.
  • Lead and facilitate discussions to balance business needs, user experience, and technical feasibility.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline internal workflows and business processes, using automation, data-driven tooling, and AI.
  • Partner with engineering and data teams to explore and pilot AI-driven solutions that enhance software functionality, system intelligence, or customer experience.
  • Lead product demos and other product communication to the organization and be the "voice of the product" for your respective product area.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in product management and/or business systems analysis.
  • Strong understanding of systems analysis, software development, and agile practices.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in dynamic, evolving environments.
  • A customer-centric mindset and outcome-oriented vision.
  • A strong sense of ownership, and ability to work effectively in ambiguity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder facilitation and documentation.
  • Experience with complex, data-driven business systems and integrations.
  • Interest in emerging technologies and how AI, ML, or automation can be used to improve internal processes or customer value.
  • Experience working with technical teams on solutions that incorporate intelligent automation or decision-support systems (a plus, not required).
  • Experience in the energy or energy technology sector, experience in Demand Response preferred.
  • Familiarity with SQL for data validation or QA support preferred.
  • Background in MIS, CIS, or a related technical discipline preferred.
