The Senior Product Development Manager will be responsible for leading the formulation, development, and commercialization of new vitamin and supplement products. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure products meet all scientific, regulatory, and consumer requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background, leadership experience, and a track record of successful product launches.

Description

  • Lead and manage the R&D team in the development of innovative vitamin and supplement formulations.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from concept through commercialization.
  • Ensure all formulations comply with industry regulations (e.g., FDA, cGMP, NSF) and company quality standards.
  • Conduct research on emerging ingredients, technologies, and trends to inform product innovation.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs to prepare technical documentation and support product claims.
  • Partner with Procurement and Manufacturing to source raw materials and optimize production processes.
  • Manage R&D project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal teams and external partners.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for product and process
  • Leading the formulation of new FMCG products.
  • Collaborating with the engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Developing effective test protocols.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Managing formulation documentation and reports.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Training and mentoring junior staff members.
  • Conducting research to stay updated on latest industry trends.

Profile

A successful 'Senior Product Development Manager' should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred but not required
  • 7+ years of R&D experience in the vitamin, supplement, or nutraceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and launching vitamin or supplement products.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the dietary supplement industry.
  • Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in formulation software and data analysis tools.
  • Creative problem-solver with a passion for innovation and science.
  • A strong background in FMCG product formulation.
  • Proficiency in various engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
