Key Responsibilities for Senior Procurement Manager - Procurement & Supplier Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with mills, lumber suppliers, and distributors to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply chains.
- Purchase materials for a multi-state territory, ensuring product availability and cost efficiency.
- Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with reload sites to optimize logistics and distribution.
- Sales & Business Development:
- Manage and support a sales staff in selling building materials to multi-family, commercial, and residential construction customers.
- Drive revenue growth by developing strategic partnerships with general contractors and framer project owners.
- Leverage market insights and industry trends to enhance sales strategies.
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align procurement and sales objectives with company goals.
- Implement best practices to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Operational Excellence:

Qualifications & Skills for Senior Procurement Manager - 10+ years of experience in purchasing and procurement, specifically in mills, lumber suppliers, and distributors, with a focus on multi-family projects.
- 3+ years of experience selling to general contractors and framer project owners in the construction industry.
- Strong leadership experience, managing high-performing sales teams.
- Proven ability to source and negotiate high-quality building materials.
- Deep understanding of logistics, inventory management, and reload site coordination.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and sales management tools.
