Senior Procurement Manager - Business Services
The Society's Procurement Team has an exciting 6-month fixed-term contract opportunity for a Senior Procurement Manager - Business Services.
The team is responsible for procurement and sourcing across the organisation, driving value through best-in-class strategic purchasing and category planning.
The Senior Procurement Manager will be responsible for implementing effective sourcing strategies that demonstrate how pivotal procurement is to the effective management of our resources.
This involves working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure that products and services are sourced competitively, cost-effectively, and in line with relevant policy and regulatory requirements.

About you
You'll be an excellent all-round communicator and presenter who is a confident, collaborative agent of change. As a key member of our procurement function, you'll have a vital role in identifying, reporting, and mitigating third-party risk.
To be successful in this role, it's essential that you:
- Have extensive experience of procurement processes (including RFI, RFP, contract drafting, negotiation, and supplier management)
- Know how to manage major suppliers with a proven track record in delivering cost savings
- Be familiar with sourcing a wide range of products and services and have the ability to negotiate complex and high-value contracts
- Have a can-do approach with the ability to foster relationships with internal stakeholders - some at senior level - and external suppliers
- Have excellent stakeholder management skills and resilience to the demands of a busy and changing environment
- Have a good understanding of third-party risk and managing supply chain risks appropriately
Desirable experience includes:
- Experience working in the Financial Services sector or other comparable regulated sectors
- Prior experience in key Financial Services categories such as professional services, lending services, and credit risk
- Ideally, MCIPS qualification or the aspiration to obtain it
