DUTIES: Implement process improvements on platform and derivative projects. Collaborate with external partners to deliver business results. Assess opportunities for process improvements and communicate with business team. Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design and develop processes, procedures, tooling and automation. Develop qualified production lines and providing Design for Manufacturability input to the engineering print package. Serve as a core or extended team member on new product projects. Execute functional deliverables associated with the Product Development Process, Technical Data Package, Project Management and Quality Systems. Ensure proper documentation is complete and meets quality systems requirements. (e.g., BOM's, Routers, FMEA's, etc.). Oversee development builds associated with projects using special work requests. Provide work direction and training to technicians and engineers. Train manufacturing personnel when required. Create and review validation protocols and reports applicable to new processes. Plan, organize all aspects of technical reviews. Present ideas for intellectual property submissions. May require to travel/telecommute. REQUIREMENTS: Employer requires a Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related technical field plus 24 months experience in job offered, Graduate Process Development Engineer, R&D Engineer, or related occupation. Experience must include: 1) SMT Pick & Place Process, 2) SMT Reflow Process, 3) Solidworks CAD design tooling, 4) IPC-A-610 standard, and 5) Windchill.
