Job Description About the Role: BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our Tactical Mobile (TacMobile) Systems team. As a key member of our team, you will support the sustainment of existing fielded configurations and develop and field future capabilities for TacMobile sites, serving USN and FMS customers.
Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: - Lead system design, development, and engineering of TacMobile systems and subsystems
- Conduct system architecture design, component selection, and integration planning
- Provide technical guidance to engineering teams
Engineering and Testing: - Oversee integration, testing, and evaluation of TacMobile systems
- Conduct performance testing and analysis to validate system performance
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and engineering reports
Communication and Collaboration: - Provide regular progress reports and presentations to program management and stakeholders
- Communicate technical concepts and findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders and decision-makers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives
Risk Management and Mentorship: - Identify technical risks and vulnerabilities associated with TacMobile systems
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Mentor junior engineers and scientists to enhance their skills and capabilities

Requirements:
- Currently residing in or willing to relocate to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas
- Relevant experience and skills in systems engineering and development
Required Education, Experience, & Skills The successful candidate must have:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline to include but not limited to aerospace, computer, electrical, mechanical, software, or systems engineering.
- Ten (10) years of experience in support of Command & Control (C2) and/or Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Platforms to include: Technology Analysis and Assessment, Design Definition, Development of Systems Specifications, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Integration, Test & Evaluation Criteria, and Logistics support. Note: Experience may be concurrent.
- Experience with Digital Engineering and be well versed in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) employment.
- Experience leading the development of Command and Control, Communications, Computing, Combat, or ISR systems/equipment for DoD applications.
- Working knowledge of project planning and management.
- Excellent cognitive, communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills, briefing and providing reports to executive-level leaders.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Master's degree preferred.
- TacMobile experience.
- Experience with Cameo MBSE tool and IBM Rational Concert Suite preferred.
- Professional Engineer License.
- Experience with Foreign Military Sales and Foreign Disclosure requirements.
- Familiarity with ITAR and Export Control.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
