Job Description As a Senior Principal Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building robust systems and software solutions while ensuring the smooth operation of critical infrastructure. This position involves providing technical expertise throughout the entire software development lifecycle, encompassing the design, development, implementation, and testing of innovative customer tools and applications within a DevOps framework.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and participate in software programming initiatives using languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, SpringBoot, and Hibernate.
- Develop, enhance, and validate software systems utilizing testing tools like Junit and Katalon, as well as custom solutions for automated deployment.
- Prototype and deploy solutions on Commercial Cloud Platforms, leveraging infrastructure services effectively.
- Work collaboratively with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to align User Stories with customer use cases.
- Adopt Agile practices and leverage leading DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and JIRA to monitor project progress.
- Perform analysis through proof of concepts and testing to determine Infrastructure needs driven by software developments.
- Identify best practices and SOPs to create innovative solutions tailored to meet customer technical needs.
Basic Qualifications - Extensive experience with Agile methodologies and development practices in service-oriented environments.
- Proven expertise in Java, Spring, C2S, and delivering in a DevOps context.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as Junit and Katalon, along with scripting in Python and Bash.
- Strong background in developing on Commercial Cloud Platforms and utilizing cloud data services.
- Proficient in using version control systems and issue tracking tools.
- Bachelor's degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's with 10 years, or additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with structured analysis and design methodologies.
- Understanding of customer system development policies.
