Your Role We are searching for a Senior Principal DevOps/FinOps Engineer to lead initiatives aimed at enhancing cloud cost efficiency, governance, and optimization across various platforms including GCP, AWS, and Azure. This is a crucial role for a seasoned engineer with a robust focus on operations, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and FinOps practices.
Your Impact - Cloud Cost Optimization: Continuously assess cloud utilization to uncover cost-saving opportunities and enforce governance policies.
- Strategic Cost Management: Create and implement automated strategies for cloud cost optimization.
- Operational Excellence: Develop structured processes for cloud cost governance, budgeting, and precise financial tracking.
- Reporting & Insights for Management: Generate insightful reports and dashboards on cloud spending for business decisions.
- Cost Modeling & Profitability Analysis: Construct financial models to analyze cloud expenses.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Operations, and Engineering for cohesive cost control initiatives.
- Cloud Resource Governance: Implement tagging policies and budget alerts to enhance cost transparency.
- Automation & Reporting: Design automation tools for cost visibility using programming languages like Python or Go.
- FinOps Compliance & Standardization: Ensure alignment of cloud expenditures with broader business objectives.
Your Qualifications - 10+ years of hands-on experience with GCP & AWS in roles like DevOps Engineer, SRE, or Cloud Engineer.
- 5+ years focused on Cloud Resource Optimization and financial governance.
- Strong programming abilities in Python or Go.
- Experience with cloud cost APIs and data aggregation tools.
- Expertise in Terraform and cloud tagging strategies.
- Proven track record in generating financial reports using tools like Tableau.
- Successful collaboration with finance teams to institute strategic cost-saving measures.

Compensation Transparency The compensation for this role will be based on qualifications and experience, with a range expected between $173,000 - $260,000 annually, along with stock units and bonuses.
