We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Wayland, a category C Prison near Thetford, Norfolk.
You will work with a multidisciplinary team that supports your success.
Hours
Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 19:30
Weekends and Bank Holidays - 08:30 - 17:30
Salary
This is a full-time position with an annual salary up to £47,466, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver nurse-led services and prevent hospital admissions
- Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, respond to emergencies, assess patients, and conduct reception screening
- Provide evidence-based, personalized care, listening to and acting on patient feedback
- Build strong links with partners and stakeholders, ensuring a trustworthy and safe service
- Promote best practice, clinical supervision, and continuous improvement
- Share knowledge and skills within multidisciplinary teams

Candidate Requirements
- Registered Nurse - Adult NMC
- Evidence of CPD
- Understanding of multi-agency working
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving skills
- Motivated, both independently and in teams
Experience in hospital, community, or prison environments is preferred but not essential.
