Akkodis is Seeking a Senior PLC Controls Engineer - Automation & Material Handling as a contractor for the location of Mason OH. It is a contract Position for 6 months. Ideally Looking for a candidate with experience in Aerospace/Aviation Industry.
Pay Range: $40 - $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Duties
• Lead the technical implementation of electrical controls systems, including PLC programming and commissioning.
• Manage project scope, quality and deliverables ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
• Collaborate and work with other Project Engineers as needed.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including QA/QC validations and test plans.
• Execute and support system testing (BUAT/UAT/FAT) and on-site commissioning.
• Provide customer training and post-installation support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Controls Engineering role with warehouse automation or material handling equipment.
Technical Expertise:
• PLC Programming & Electrical Design: Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff
• Drives & Interfaces: Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) programming and setup, Human-Machine Interface (HMI) system design (Wonderware aveva edge, scada), Scanner and machine vision system integration (sick and cognex)
• Software & Tools:
Logix 5000, Studio 5000, RSLinx, FactoryTalk View, Aveva Edge
B&R Automation Studio, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical
SST Profibus Configuration Tool, Ignition, SOPAS, Datalogic DataMan
• Networking & Protocols:
Industrial network protocols (Ethernet and Profibus) and warehouse control system interfaces
Soft Skills:
• Strong project planning and budgeting capabilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
