Full-time Employment: Ability to work as a full-time employee
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
About Us: Valkyrie is an applied science firm that builds industry-defining custom AI, ML and Knowledge Engineering solutions. Our interdisciplinary applied science teams support our clients from data normalization all the way through model deployment. Our work can be found across industry from SiriusXM, Activision, Chubb Insurance, and the Department of Defense, to name a few.
Valkyrie is developing an internal product, leveraging best-in-class AI technology. This position will help spearhead the product development. This is a seed-stage launch and will require someone who is ambitious, takes initiative and thrives in building a development practice from the ground up. Experience at a seed-stage company is a plus.
About the role We're seeking a passionate and experienced fullstack engineer to help build the foundation of our infrastructure and internal tooling at a critical stage of company growth. As one of the early engineering hires, you'll own everything from rapid prototyping, codifying our cloud environment to shaping the developer experience through CI/CD pipelines and observability systems, while owning the stack endtoend- from containerizing services and automating MLOps to running secure, highperformance workloads on AWS. You'll work with Python, Terraform, and AWS, and bring a strong track record of building in security-conscious settings (SOC2, HIPAA, etc.). This is a high-impact, high-ownership role - perfect for someone who thrives in fast-moving startup environments and wants to shape how engineering gets done. If you're excited to build from zero, remove friction for engineers, and scale a platform with real product thinking, we'd love to talk.
Senior Platform Engineer Qualifications We encourage candidates to apply even if they don't have 100% of the below qualifications. We believe in a holistic approach when evaluating talent for our team and post new roles often, so even if this role isn't quite right, we want to meet you.
