We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer for Workplace Collaboration who is eager to create seamless experiences with advanced video conferencing and virtual whiteboarding technologies. In this influential role, you will help shape the future of unified communication services by designing, implementing, and maintaining collaboration tools on desktop, mobile, conference rooms, and shared spaces, with a keen eye on automation for simplification.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the engineering management of our Unified Communications and Whiteboarding Platforms (Zoom, Zoom Whiteboard, LucidSpark/Lucid Chart).
- Implement automation techniques to eliminate manual processes.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring they meet service expectations and performance goals.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to understand business needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Communicate effectively with teams, product owners, stakeholders, and vendors to align on business requirements.
- Identify opportunities for enhancement and innovate alongside product owners to craft new solutions.
- Research and keep abreast of new features released by vendors and internal teams.
- Be the primary contact for system operations, providing clarity from both technical and business perspectives.
- Ensure timely production support for Unified Communications platforms by troubleshooting and collaborating with vendors.
- Focus on building and maintaining the platform's technical and operational integrity, including addressing vulnerabilities.
- Document platform architectures and features while aligning with Capital One's configuration standards.
- Monitor platform usage and provide analytics to inform stakeholders.
- Support operational governance processes related to audit, legal, and retention standards.
- Encourage innovation, automation, diversity, and teamwork to transform legacy processes.
- Develop best practices to enhance the overall user experience across the platforms.
- Design, develop, and implement solutions that comply with cybersecurity policies and requirements.
Basic Qualifications: - High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- 5+ years of experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Unified Communications platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex).
- 3+ years in network infrastructure, including firewalls, proxies, and network security.
- 3+ years of experience in AWS Administration.
- 2+ years in a technical leadership role overseeing strategic projects.
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree.
- Relevant certifications in UC technologies (e.g., Microsoft Teams Certified Engineer, Zoom Learning Center).
- 3+ years testing, designing, deploying, and managing conference room video conferencing hardware (Poly/HP, Crestron, Qsys).
- 2+ years of experience with scripting languages.
