Our highly reputable and stable nonprofit client is hiring a Senior Payroll Specialist. This is initially an in-office role in Boston (waterfront) which will transition to a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities of the Senior Payroll Specialist: - process bi-weekly payroll for 200 full time and 200 part-time/seasonal staff members independently.
- maintain payroll records and employee status changes.
- prepare reports, journal entries and workers' compensation filings
Qualification Requirements:
- Associates or undergraduate degree strongly preferred along with 3+ years' of payroll processing experience. Priority will be given to those who have functioned in a stand-alone capacity. CPP or FPC certification is preferred.
- Experience using UKG or UltiPro payroll systems is desired
- skilled at handling deductions for 401(k) and/or 403(b) plans
