Job DetailsResponsibilities
- Communicate promptly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, trial binders, and case files
- Draft pleadings, motions, judicial council forms, and standard legal documents (including all discovery materials)
- Manage and organize discovery processes, including drafting, responding, and preparing meet-and-confer letters and motions to compel
- Conduct legal research and database review to support case development
- File pleadings with various courts in compliance with established procedures
- Liaise with outside counsel regarding discovery and trial preparations
- Maintain detailed and confidential case records
Requirements
- Valid Paralegal Certificate
- Bachelor's degree (or progress toward an ABA-approved program/certified paralegal training is a plus)
- 3-5 years of paralegal experience in civil, personal injury, and/or family law matters
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and document management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to handle highly confidential matters
- Strong time management, organizational, and research skills
Nice to Haves
- Experience specifically handling discovery drafting and responses
- Prior involvement in drafting meet-and-confer letters and motions to compel
- Familiarity with litigation support processes and case management software
- Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced legal environment
