Role: Senior Paralegal
Location: Glendale, CA (on-site 4 days, 1 day remote)
Duration: 3 months (possibility to extend)
Rate: $55/hr W2 (Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K)
Are you a high-energy, organized professional with expertise in legal processes and an ability to manage multiple tasks seamlessly? We're seeking a Senior Paralegal to join our client's fast-paced legal department, providing critical support during a corporate transition and beyond. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of legal and administrative functions in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage small claims and eviction cases (court appearances not required).
- Respond to subpoenas, coordinating with various departments to fulfill discovery requests.
- Oversee ServiceNow tickets, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Open and close matters in CounselLink and maintain accurate case records.
- Handle case calendaring, monitoring key dates, and providing administrative support.
- Assist in preparing case updates and managing spreadsheets tracking settlements, AG complaints, and informal matters.
- Review invoices related to small claims, evictions, and subpoenas.
- Provide guidance on legal compliance for field operations, including property management, delinquent accounts, and policy adherence.
- Support the commercial real estate group with evictions and tenant-related issues.
- Maintain and update the legal database, troubleshooting billing issues, and ensuring accurate records.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in litigation support, including subpoena responses and discovery coordination.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency with legal tools such as CounselLink and case management systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel for tracking and updating settlement and case information.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in legal compliance, particularly related to property management, is a plus.
Work Environment
This role is based in Glendale, CA, and has an on-site requirement at the corporate headquarters. The position is initially expected to last for three months, with the potential to extend based on business needs.
