Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Personal Injury Paralegal to independently manage a full caseload from intake through settlement or litigation.
You will supervise a junior paralegal/assistant and play a leadership role in building and improving the personal injury department's systems and workflows.

Primary Responsibilities:
Pre-Litigation Duties:
- Manage client intake and case onboarding
- Collect, organize, and review medical records and billing statements
- Monitor client treatment progress and maintain updated case files
- Identify and resolve healthcare, hospital, and lienholder claims (Medicare, AHCCCS, private insurance, ERISA)
- Draft comprehensive settlement demand packages
- Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters
- Handle property damage claims, loss of use, and diminished value issues
- Track and manage deadlines and case milestones
Litigation Support Duties:
- Assist attorneys with drafting complaints, disclosures, discovery responses, and subpoenas
- Organize and prepare case files for mediation, arbitration, depositions, and trial
- Calendar litigation deadlines and manage court filings
- Coordinate service of process and work with expert witnesses
Supervisory Duties:
- Oversee and delegate tasks to a junior paralegal assistant
- Guide and monitor quality control of support tasks, such as medical record retrieval, file maintenance, and document preparation
Additional Opportunities (Optional):
- If desired, assist on criminal defense cases involving discovery, trial preparation, and client support
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a plaintiffs' personal injury paralegal (pre-litigation and litigation)
- Strong understanding of personal injury law, medical terminology, and case management
- Prior experience with liens, healthcare subrogation, and medical billing
- Proficient with case management software (e.g., Filevine, MyCase, Clio, SmartAdvocate) and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines independently
- Client-focused communication skills - professional and empathetic
- Supervisory experience preferred but not required
Work Schedule & Flexibility:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- In-office presence required for onboarding and training
