As a Senior Paralegal - Trade Compliance here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. Your expertise in trade compliance and legal matters will contribute to the smooth flow of cross-border transactions.
You will report directly to our VP General Counsel Compliance, and you'll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact Honeywell's global operations by ensuring compliance with import and export regulations. By developing and implementing trade compliance policies and procedures, you will minimize risks and avoid penalties related to trade violations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with import and export regulations
Manage and oversee import and export documentation
Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement
Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters
Stay updated with changes in trade regulations and communicate the impact to the organization

YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on trade compliance
Strong knowledge of import and export regulations
Experience in managing trade compliance programs
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
Experience with trade compliance software, such as SAP GTS or Amber Road
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
