Position Summary
As a Senior Oracle Developer you will play a pivotal role in supporting, enhancing and the implementation of Oracle Applications with a focus on EDI. You'll collaborate closely with our dedicated teams to ensure seamless support, maintenance and implementation of development request and projects.

Note:

This is a Hybrid role with the requirement of working onsite at our Mentor, OH Headquarters 3 days per week

This role is eligible for Work / H1B / Visa Sponsorship and Relocation Assistance.

What you'll do as a Senior Oracle Developer
You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting EDI and the corresponding Oracle Modules. You will work closely with various business stakeholders and users to understand issues, gather requirements, coordinate testing and implementing solutions.

Oracle Application/EDI Support - 30%

Monitor EDI interfaces and critical programs in production systems for errors, performance and any other abnormality

Provide first level support for EDI interfaces and assigned Oracle Applications modules.

Troubleshoot and resolve problems reported by users of these modules and applications.

Investigate issues using vendor support website(s).

Create tickets or service requests with software vendor.

Develop scripts and other changes to programs to resolve issues

Investigate setup or configuration changes required in Oracle Applications

Work with other team members, DBA team and other teams to resolve issues

Work with Business Process Owner(s) to test and make changes to Oracle Applications setup or configurations to resolve issues.

Oracle Applications/EDI Development - 70%

Review and understand business requirements for development tasks assigned.

Develop new programs or make changes to existing programs, according to business requirements. This will be in the areas of, but not limited to: Reports, Forms, Interfaces, Alerts, Data Conversion

Develop test scripts and test maps/programs according to business requirements.

Development of new EDI maps, reports, alerts, interfaces and data conversion programs.

Do performance tuning of programs, screens and other objects when performance issues are reported

Analyze trading partners specifications and building technical documents as per the requirements.

Work with business users to test programs in Development and Quality.

Write technical documentation and user manuals

Work with DBA, System Administration teams to migrate programs to Quality and Production

Work with Business Process Owners to investigate new functionality in Oracle applications

Work on Oracle Application upgrades

When or if working on a FDA validated system, participate in the validation process.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed
Required:

Your expertise as an Oracle Applications Developer coupled with a strong understanding of EDI and its related standards will be key to being successful in this role.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5-7 years proven experience as an Oracle Applications Developer or similar ERP applications with a focus on EDI.

Experience in the following Oracle Modules preferred: E- Commerce Gateway, Order Management, Customer Master.

Proficiency in Oracle EDI tools and methodologies preferred.

Strong proficiency in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and related technologies.

Proficiency in Reports 10g, Forms 10g, SQL Loader

Knowledge of Application Object Library: Executables and Concurrent program setups, Alerts, Functions/Forms, Menus/Responsibilities, Profiles, and Document Attachments

Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and documentation.

Development experience in Oracle Applications environment - Application Object Library

Development experience in Oracle RDBMS

Experience development in Unix environment

Interface experience with other applications using flat file transfers or database links.

Preferred:

Experience in the use of Middleware is preferred.

Experience in Oracle Applications implementation or upgrades are highly preferred.
