Description We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata Cloud Service in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role requires expertise in replication technologies, zero downtime patching, and automation of database failover using Oracle Data Guard. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and availability of our Oracle database environments. Requirements Manage and administer Oracle Exadata Cloud Service environments within OCI.
Implement and maintain replication technologies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Develop strategy for and perform zero downtime patching and upgrades to minimize service disruptions.
Automate database failover processes using Oracle Data Guard.
Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and implement robust database solutions.
Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex database issues.
Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Stay current with Oracle database technologies and advancements, particularly related to Exadata and OCI.
Required Skills and Qualifications: Secret clearance required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle database administration.
Minimum of 3 years of extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata Cloud Service in OCI.
Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture, including RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
Experience with replication technologies and zero downtime patching.
Expertise in automating database failover using Oracle Data Guard.
Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud-based database solutions and migrations.
Familiarity with other Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services.
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting).
Knowledge of database security best practices.
Oracle Exadata and OCI certifications are preferable.?
