Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior-Level Okta IAM Developer & Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable and secure Okta Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions aligned with our Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Okta technologies, custom integrations, and cross-platform identity frameworks, combined with a strategic mindset to architect solutions that meet both business and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities: - Architect and develop robust Okta IAM solutions supporting enterprise-level CIAM initiatives.
- Implement and configure Okta modules including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Lifecycle Management, and Authorization Policies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and enterprise architects to translate requirements into secure and scalable IAM designs.
- Develop and manage custom integrations with third-party platforms and applications using Okta APIs, SDKs, and webhooks.
- Perform rigorous testing and validation of identity solutions to ensure performance, compliance, and security.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, architecture diagrams, design workflows, and support guides.
- Provide technical leadership and support, including troubleshooting and resolving issues across development, QA, and production environments.
- Stay current with Okta releases, IAM trends, and evolving security standards to proactively drive innovation and compliance.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor†s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5â€"7 years of experience in designing and developing Okta-based IAM solutions with a focus on CIAM
- Expertise in core Okta features: SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, Adaptive Authentication, and Authorization.
- Strong programming/development skills in one or more of the following: Java, Python, .NET.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML integrations.
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts such as identity federation, access control, provisioning, and directory services.
- Proven experience in IAM architectural design and implementation in a complex enterprise environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications: Okta Certifications such as: - Okta Certified Administrator
- Okta Certified Developer
- Okta Certified Consultant
- Familiarity with other IAM solutions and platforms (e.g., Azure AD, Ping Identity, ForgeRock) is a plus.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance) and knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR).
