The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Senior Nexus Systems Administrator to play a critical role in supporting complex IT services and strategic mission systems development for USSTRATCOM. This position is responsible for the design, implementation, management and optimization of Nexus systems that facilitate mission-critical operations.
The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.
Responsibilities:
Systems Administrator (Nexus), Senior:
• Supports Nexus Repository management
• Monitors system performance, identifies bottlenecks, implements corrective actions on Nexus Repository Manager systems and servers
• Monitors network performance, identifies bottlenecks, and implements corrective actions on Nexus switches and routers
• Manages network configurations, including VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), QoS, and security policies
• Performs capacity planning and upgrades to ensure network scalability and optimal performance
• Troubleshoots complex network issues, analyze network traffic patterns, and implement solutions
• Implements and manages advanced features like Fabric Path, VXLAN, and Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation (MLAG) on Nexus devices
• Configures and troubleshoots complex network segmentation and security policies using Access Control Lists (ACLs) and Quality of Service (QoS) features
• Possesses expertise in configuring and managing Cisco NX-OS operating system, including scripting and automation tools
• Implements and maintains network security measures on Nexus devices, including port security, dynamic ARP inspection (DAI), and 802.1X authentication
• Works with security teams to enforce network security policies and identify potential vulnerabilities
• Participates in network architecture design and planning for new network deployments and upgrades
• Leads the implementation of new Nexus devices and configurations across the network
• Documents network topology, configuration changes, and procedures to maintain accurate documentation
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
• Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) as required by mission needs
• Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives. Depending on experience and team structure, this role may involve working under direct supervision or potentially providing guidance, training, or supervision to others Qualifications:
Required:
• Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on nexus systems or similar technologies
• Required 8140 Cert within 6 months of hire: 451 - Intermediate; Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC; OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated; OR Training AND
• Additional Cert: One or more certifications related to DevSecOps related skillsets, including AWS
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, security practices, and systems integration.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud computing services
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$65,000 - $136,500
